Fish ‘Amritsari’ Style
Fish, we all know is rich in anti-oxidants and its oil is really healthy and nutritious. It’s the white meat and considered very rich in essential oils which are low in cholesterol. Here are the ingredients
For this you will need Rawas fish, cut into small pieces each, boneless.
Oil to fry
Salt to taste
Lemon juice
Ginger paste/Garlic paste – 1 table spoon each
Carom (ajwain) seeds a pinch
Vinegar
Gram Flour (Besan) 2 table spoon
Refined Flour (Maida) 1 table spoon
Turmeric Powder
Red chilli powder
Chaat Masala
Garam Masala Powder
Eggless Mayonnaise
Tartar Sauce
Method of Preparation
You need to marinate fish in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste and mix well. Add fish in this paste and mix well. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
In another bowl add carom seeds, vinegar, gram flour, refined flour turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, garam masala powder and water. Make a thick paste.
Heat oil in a kadai, you will need to deep fry the marinated fish dipped in the thick paste made from besan and maida flour. Fry till brown and cooked well from inside.
You can serve it hot with tartar dip.
